NGXASI closes marginally lower by 0.02%

The equity market on Tuesday closed bearish as the All Share Index was down marginally by 0.02% to settle at 43,808.25 points from the previous close of 43,818.12 points.

The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.03% to close at N23.861 trillion from the previous close of N23.867 trillion, thereby shedding N6 billion.

An aggregate of 103 million units of shares were traded in 3,045 deals, valued at N1.19 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 15 equities appreciated in their share prices against 13 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

CWG and LEARNAFRICA led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N0.88 and N1.65 from the previous close of N0.80 and N1.50 respectively.

CAVERTON, Prestige Assurance and JAPAULGOLD among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.75%, 8.33% and 7.41% respectively.

Percentage Losers

WAPCO led other price decliners, as it shed 9.66% of its share price to close at N20.10 from the previous close of N22.25.

Royal Exchange, Cornerstone Insurance and UPDCREIT among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.41%, 9.09% and 8.93% respectively.

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded about 11 million units of its shares in 185 deals, valued at about N124 million.

Fidelity Bank traded about 10 million units of its shares in 75 deals, valued at N42 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 8.7 million units of its shares in 141 deals, valued at N71 million.
