Stock market extends bullish trend by 1.11%

It was yet another bullish session on the floor of the Nigerian stock market on Monday as bullish trend extended to third straight session.

The All Share Index grew by 1.11% to close at 68,279.14 points from the previous close of 67,527.19 points.

The Market Capitalisation was up  by 1.11% to close at N37.370 trillion from the previous close of N36.958 trillion, thereby adding N412 billion.

An aggregate of 845.7 million units of shares were traded in11,934 deals, valued at N13 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 39 equities emerged as gainers against 19 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Dangote Sugar led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N66.55 from the previous close of 60.50.

NASCON, JOHNHOLT and OANDO among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.98%, 9.92% and 9.91% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Consolidated Hallmark Insurance led other price decliners as it shed 9.57% of its share price to close at N1.04 from the previous close of N1.15.

Cornerstone Insurance and Sunu Assurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.29% and 9.09% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Fidelity Bank traded about 85 million units of its shares in 591 deals, valued at N695 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 75 million units of its shares in 844 deals, valued at N2.8 billion.

UBA traded about 60 million units of its shares in 816 deals, valued at N930 million.
