Dangote Cement Plc plans $400m expansion of its Ethiopia cement plant

Dangote Cement Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and all stakeholders of its plan to invest USD 400 million to upscale a second production line at its Mugher cement plant in Ethiopia. This expansion aims to double the facility’s annual production capacity to 5 million tons and is expected to become operational within 30 months.

The company also plans to establish a new greenfield cement grinding unit with an annual capacity of 3 million tons.
