Nigerian stock market on Monday plunged by 0.50% as 41 stocks led by Linkage Assurance shed weight
The All Share Index closed at 148,781.90 points from the previous close of 149,524.81 points.
The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.50% to close at N94.526 trillion from the previous close of N94.998 trillion, thereby shedding N472 trillion.
An aggregate of 364 million units of shares were traded in 32,564 deals, valued at N11.4 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 11 equities emerged as gainers against 43 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
ASOSAVINGS led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N0.99 from the previous close of N0.90.
DEAPCAP and Cornerstone Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.83% and 8.70% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Linkage Assurance led other price decliners as it shed 10.00% of its share price to close at N1.62 from the previous close of N1.80.
NAHCO and AIICO Insurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.95% and 9.89% respectively.
Volume Drivers
ACCESSCORP traded about 19 million units of its shares in 1431 deals, valued at N424 million.
Zenith Bank traded about 19 million units of its shares in 1648 deals, valued at N1.1 billion.
CHAMS traded about 17 million units of its shares in 500 deals, valued at N51 million.
