The Nigerian market stayed afloat on price appreciation in CUSTODIAN, Linkage Assurance and other 53 stocks that made the green table on Thursday, consolidating on the impressive rebound on Wednesday from a prolonged losing streak that had pushed the market to its lowest level since 2010.
The All Share Index grew 1.08%, closing at 146,981.17 points from the previous close of 145.403.83
Market capitalisation closed at N93.481 trillion up by 1.08% from the previous close of N92.478 trillion, adding N1.003 trillion.

An aggregate of 599.7 million units of shares were traded in 23,675 deals, valued at N22.70 billion.
Market Breadth
The market breadth closed positive as 55 stocks gained against 10 stocks that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers

CUSTODIAN and Linkage Assurance led other gainers, closing at 10.00% each above their previous close of N35.00 and N1.60 to N38.50 and N1.76 respectively.
OANDO, Legend Internet and NAHCO also grew above other gainers by 9.97%, 9.96% and 9.96% respectively.
Percentage Losers

AUSTINLAZ led decliners’ table shedding 9.96% of its share price to close at N 2.35 from the previous close of N2.61.
UNIONDICON, Sterling Bank and NGXGROUP shed 9.68%, 5.81% and 5.31% respectively
Volume Drivers

Wema Bank traded about 98 million units of its shares in 263 deals, valued at about N1.95 billion.
UBA traded about 53 million units of its shares in 911 deals, worth about N2.2 billion.
ACCESSCORP traded about 51 million units of its shares in 1386 deals, valued at about N1.17 billion.
