Market closes flat amidst price surge in 11 equities

Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Tuesday closed flat as the All Share Index closed at 49,416.18 points from the previous close of 49,414.96 points, hence there is no significant change.

The Market Capitalisation close at N26.916 trillion from the previous close of N26.915 trillion.

An aggregate of 100 million units of shares were traded in 3,187 deals, valued at N1.3 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 11 equities appreciated in their share prices against 16 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

UPDCREIT led other gainers with 8.62% growth, closing at N3.15 from the previous close of N2.90.

Royal Exchange and ARDOVA among other gainers also grew their share prices by 5.95%, and 4.19% respectively.

Percentage Losers

NEIMETH led other price decliners as it shed 9.66% of its share price to close at N1.31 from the previous close of N1.45.

SCOA and UPDC among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.41% and 7.07% respectively.

Volume Drivers

GTCO traded about 16 million units of its shares in 357 deals, valued at N354.7 million.

UBA traded about 7 million units of its shares in 135 deals valued at N52 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 5 million units of its shares in 122 deals, valued at N45 million.
