Stock market rises by 0.07%

Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Monday closed on a positive note as The All Share Index rose by 0.07% to close at 54,364.67 points from the previous close of 54,327.30 points.

The Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.07% to close at N29.611 trillion from the previous close of N29.591 trillion, thereby gaining N20 billion.

An aggregate of 140.8 million units of shares were traded in 3,553 deals, valued at N3 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 18 equities appreciated in their share prices against 8 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Conoil led other gainers with 9.98% growth to close at N35.25 from the previous close of N32.05.

MRS and CHAMS among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.24% and 8.00% respectively.

Percentage Losers

CWG led other price decliners as it shed 9.18% of its share price to close at N0.89 from the previous close of N0.98.

Fidelity Bank and NAHO among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 2.87% and 2.38% respectively.

Volume Drivers

UBA traded about 28.6 million units of its shares in 171 deals, valued at about N239.7 million.

GTCO traded about 22.9 million units of its shares in 206 deals, valued at N575 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 12.6 million units of its shares in 250 deals, valued at about N319 billion.
