Stock market sheds N15bn, down by 0.05%

It was a bearish session on the floor of the Nigerian stock market on Monday as The All Share Index was down by 0.05% to close at 54,888.48 points from the previous close of 54,915.39 points.

The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.05% to close at N29.901 trillion from the previous close of N29.916 trillion, thereby shedding N47 billion.

An aggregate of about 1 billion units of shares were traded in 3,066 deals, valued at N2.88 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 19 equities emerged as gainers against 14 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

ACCESSCORP led other gainers with 7.14% growth to close at N9.00 from the previous close of 8.40.

CUTIX and UPL among other gainers also grew their share prices by 5.69% and 5.53% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Ikeja Hotel led other price decliners as it shed 9.52% of its share price to close at N1.14 from the previous close of N1.26.

WAPIC, STANBIC IBTC and MULTIVERSE among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.52%, 8.52% and 5.80% respectively.

Volume Drivers

NEIMETH traded about 1 billion units of its shares in 15 deals, valued at N1.58 billion.

UBA traded about 15.96 million units of its shares in 172 deals, valued at N128.8 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 13 million units of its shares in 198 deals, valued at N114 million.
