Red Star Express Plc declares 7.5 kobo dividend to shareholders

Red Star Express has proposed a dividend of 7.5 kobo to its shareholder for the year ended 31, March 2022.

The Group reported a turnover of N12.6 billion for the 12 months period, up by 33.21% from N9.46 billion reported the previous year.

Profit after tax declined year on year by 41.49% to N87.806 million from N150.065 million achieved the previous year.

Earnings per share of the Group fell to 9 kobo from the EPS of 16 kobo reported the previous year.

At the share of N2.75, the P/E ratio of Red Star Express stands at 30.56x with earnings yield of 0.7%.

Subject to approval, the proposed dividend will be posted on 12 October 2022 to all Shareholders, whose names appear on the Register of Members at the close of business on 16 September, 2022.
