Investors gain N42bn as stock market advances by 0.16%

Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Thursday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.16% to close at 47,363.98 points from the previous close of 47,287.09 points.

Investors gained N42 billion as the Market Capitalisation was up by 0.16% to close at N25.527 trillion from the previous close of N25.485 trillion.

An aggregate of 261.56 million units of shares were traded in 4,672 deals, valued at N4.478 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 21 equities gained against 20 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

RT Briscoe and UACN led other gainers with 9.84% growth to close at N0.67 and N10.05 respectively.

Oando and Presco among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.83% and 8.74% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Royal Exchange led other price decliners as it shed 9.46% of its share price to close at N1.34 from the previous close of N1.48.

ABC Transport and May & Baker among other price decliners also shed 8.57% and 6.31% of their share prices respectively.

Volume Drivers

Cutix Plc traded about 31.79 million units of its shares in 25 deals, valued at N75.68 million.

Access Bank traded about 15.35 million units of its shares in 182 deals, valued at N155.5 million.

FCMB traded about 15.13 million units of its shares in 140 deals, valued at N50.99 million.
