Nestle Nigeria gets new Board Chairman

Nestle Nigeria has notified the investing public of the appointment of Mr Gbenga Oyebode as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors.

The appointment follows the retirement of Mr David Ifezulike as the Chairman of the Board of the company with effect from May 18, 2023.

Oyebode is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and the Nigerian Leadership Initiative and Chairman of Okomu Oil Palm Plc, Teach for All, and the African Philanthropy Forum.

He is currently a Director of both CFAO Nigeria and Lafarge Africa Plc, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ford Foundation.

Oyebode was first appointed to the Board of Nestlé Nigeria Plc on February 24, 2014, and has served on the Statutory Audit Committee, Nomination, Governance and Remuneration Committee as well as the Board Audit and Risk Management Committee of the Company.

Nigerian Bourse drops by 1.10% in one week on profit taking, sheds N409bn

The Nigerian stock market declined by 1.01% week on week, as NESTLE, PRESCO and other 51 stocks shed weights. The All Share Index dropped by 1.10% to settle at 67,395.74 points from 68,143.34 points.
