Nigerian Bourse sheds N13bn, returns -0.04% WtD

Trading on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange last week closed bearish as the All Share Index and Market capitalization declined by 0.04% to settle at 54,892.53 points and N29.903 trillion respectively.

An aggregate of 1.7 billion units of shares were traded in 14,019 deals, valued at N11.06 billion.

The market breadth closed positive as 28 stocks gained against 27 stocks that declined in their share prices.

TOP 10 GAINERS

Sunu Assurance led other gainers in the course of last week with 9.09% growth, closing at N0.48 from the previous close of N0.44.

LASACO, NPF Microfinance, GEREGU and Transcorp Hotel grew their share prices by 7.14%, 6.94%, 6.25% and 6.15% respectively.

Other top 10 gainers include: ABC Transport 5.71%, Custodian 5.17%, Cornerstone Insurance 4.62%, CUTIX 4.27% and Champion Breweries 4.26% respectively.

TOP 10 LOSERS

NCR led other price decliners, shedding 18.69% of its share price to close at N2.35 from the previous close of N2.89.

Ikeja Hotel, International Breweries, CADBURY and MULTIVERSE shed their share prices by 18.25%, 6.45%, 5.83% and 5.80% respectively.

Other price decliners include: STANBIC IBTC (5.76%), WAPIC (4.76%), Consolidated Hallmark Insurance (4.62%), Livestock Feeds (4.59%) and Nigerian Breweries (4.52%) respectively.
