Nigerian Breweries declares 1 for 4 bonus to shareholders

Nigerian Breweries Plc has declared a bonus of 1 (one) share for every 4 (four) shares held by shareholders recorded in the Register of Members at the close of business on Tuesday, 6th December, 2022.

The bonus shares with a value of N1.03 billion, will be issued from the Company’s Share Premium Account, which based on the 2021 audited accounts had a balance of N77.5 billion and N84 billion as at 31st October, 2022.

This action is taken in response to the directive of the Corporate Affairs Commission for companies to eliminate unissued shares from their books.

Nigerian Bourse drops by 1.10% in one week on profit taking, sheds N409bn

The Nigerian stock market declined by 1.01% week on week, as NESTLE, PRESCO and other 51 stocks shed weights. The All Share Index dropped by 1.10% to settle at 67,395.74 points from 68,143.34 points.
