Stock market declines by 0.46%

Monday’s trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian stock market closed bearish as the All Share Index declined by 0.46% to close at 50,489.73 points from the previous close of 50,722.33 points.

The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.46% to close at N27.233 trillion from the previous close of N27.358 trillion, thereby shedding N125 billion.

An aggregate of 207 million units of shares were traded in 4,232 deals, valued at about N2 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 10 equities emerged as gainers against 15 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

JAPUALGOLD led other gainers with 8.82% growth to close at N0.37 from the previous close of 0.34.

Honeywell flour, Cornerstone Insurance and LASACO among other gainers also grew their share prices by 5.73%, 5.63% and 5.38% respectively.

Percentage Losers

RT BRISCOE led other price decliners as it shed 10.00% of its share price to close at N0.36 from the previous close of N0.40.

IMG and SKYAVIATION among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.84% and 9.60% respectively.

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded about 74.6 million units of its shares in 209 deals, valued at N820 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 12 million units of its shares in 190 deals, valued at N111 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 10 million units of its shares in 414 deals, valued at N219 million.
