Stock market sustains uptrend, advances by 0.18%

The Nigerian stock market on Thursday closed on a bullish note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.18%, closing at 48,223.86 points from the previous close of 48,138.71 points.

Investors gained N46 billion as the Market Capitalisation grew by 0.18% to close at N25.998 trillion from the previous close of N25.952 trillion.

An aggregate of 244.69 million units of shares were traded in 4,859 deals, valued at N3.15 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 29 equities emerged as gainers against 9 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Berger Paints and Eterna Plc led other gainers with 10% growth, closing at N7.70 and N6.05 respectively.

Oando and Meyer Plc among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.90% and 9.84% respectively.

Percentage Losers

SCOA led other price decliners as it shed 9.77% of its share price to close at N1.94 from the previous close of N2.15.

ABC Transport and Neimeth among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.45% and 3.55% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Custodian Investment traded about 38.7 million units of its shares in 8 deals, valued at about N255.45 million.

Oando traded about 19.49 million units of its shares in 266 deals, valued at about N101.33 million.

Fidelity Bank traded about 17.29 million units of its shares in 226 deals, valued at N66.86 million.
