Trading remains upbeat on NGX as ASI closes 0.03% higher

Trading activities on the floor of Nigerian Exchange on Tuesday remained upbeat for the 3rd consecutive session, as the All-Share Index closed 0.03% higher to settle at 47,246.90 points compared with 47,233.91 points recorded on Monday.

The market capitalisation grew by N7 billion or 0.03% to close at N25.464 trillion, from N25.457 trillion recorded in the previous session.

Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks settled at 421.82 million units and N5.155 billion in 5,992 deals. 

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed positive as 29 stocks gained against 18 stocks that lost at the end of the day’s trading

Percentage Gainers

Niger Insurance Plc and Learn Africa led the gainers chart with 10.00% growth each to close at N0.22 and N2.42 from the previous close of N0.20 and N2.20 respectively.

SCOA, CUTIX, and May & Baker also made it to the green table, gaining 9.79%, 9.65% and 9.65% respectively.

Percentage Losers

ELLAHLAKES tops the price decliners’ list, shedding 9.88% of its share price to close at N3.83 from N4.25.

Still on the red table are; Vetitas Kapital, CURTVILLE and Guinness, all shedding 8.00%, 5.56% and 5.34% respectively, ahead of other price decliners.

Volume Drivers

UCAP traded about 66 million units of its shares in 857 deals, valued at about N889 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 51.6 million units of its shares in 307 deals, valued at about N1.39 billion.
