NGXASI closes lower, down marginally by 0.02%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday closed lower as The All Share Index was down marginally by 0.02% to close at 52,308.88 points from the previous close of 52,319.94 points.

Investors lose N6 billion as the Market Capitalisation dropped by 0.02% to close at N28.208 trillion from the previous close of N28.214 trillion.

At the close of trade on Tuesday, an aggregate of 205.6 million units of shares were traded in 4,127 deals, valued at N2.8 billion.

The Market Breadth closed balanced as 16 equities emerged as gainers against 16 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

RT BRISCOE led other gainers with 10.00% growth, to close at N0.44 from the previous close of N0.40.

GLAXOSMITH, Cornerstone Insurance, COURTVILLE and FTN Cocoa above other 11 gainers also grew their share prices by over 6.00%.

Percentage Losers

MULTIVERSE led other price decliners as it shed 9.50% of its share price to close at N1.62 from the previous close of N1.79

Japaulgold and Academy Press among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.41% and 7.00% respectively.

Volume Drivers

UBA traded about 74 million units of its share in 204 deals, valued at about N556.8 million.

ACCESSCORP traded 16 million units of its shares in 237 deals, valued at about N146 million.

FBNH traded about 12.8 million units of its shares in 150 deals, valued at N140 million.
