University Press reports N142m profit in 12 months, declares 10 kobo dividend

The Board of Directors of University Press has recommended a dividend of 10 kobo to shareholders for the year ended 31 March 2023. The proposed dividend is subject to withholding tax and is payable on 21st September 2023 to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at close of business on Thursday, 31st August 2023.

The Company reported a turnover of N2.17 billion for the 12 months period, down by 5.96% from N2.31 billion reported the previous year.

Profit after tax of N142.29 million was achieved for the period under review, down by 31.43% from N207.49 million reported the previous year.

Earnings per share of the Company stands at 33 kobo.

At the share price of N2.46, the P/E ratio of University Press stands at 7.46x with earnings yield of 13.41%.
